This is a limited edition release collaboration between Godzilla and Studio D'Artisan.
In these jeans, Studio D'Artisan takes a look at Japan's obsession with a marauding giant creature that has turned into a global phenomenon. The first Godzilla film was released in Japan in 1954. Sixty-five years later, a big-budget Hollywood take on the character is being released, proving that the King of the Monsters still rules supreme. The longevity of Godzilla (known as Gojira in Japan) has seen the release of 32 films by Toho Studios in Tokyo and three additional Hollywood movies, elevating the monster to iconic pop culture status with toys, cartoons and even a hotel to his name (and now, also jeans)
The fabric has one of the most unique textures we have ever seen. A heavyweight 18oz. rough, slubby and neppy denim inspired by the rough skin of Godzilla.
This collab features a lot of superior-quality details such as the fantastic green herringbone yoke printed with Godzilla, d'artisan pigs and the Osaka skyline or the Godzilla embroidered coin pocket element. It also highlights the Godzilla deerskin leather patch and the green stitching through some parts.
The cut is the iconic SD-103. a regular straight fit with a medium-high rise.
We stock the non-wash version, so we highly recommend you to soak the jeans in hot water before the first wear. Expect around 4cm (1.5in) of shrinkage in the waist and 6,4cm (2.5in) in the inseam when soaking. Please, keep it in mind when looking for your size in the product size chart.
