The Muller vest is a beautiful tribute to the iconic classic 1930s -1940s 3-piece vintage suits.
Morning-time dress (before noon) for a 1930s man consisted of a Harris Tweed double-breasted overcoat worn with a 3-piece single-breasted suit with a mid-sized stripe or small cheviot pattern to it. A matching vest to the suit was a charming formal touch. A typical winter suit was brown with a cheviot, stripe or herringbone pattern in subtle hues.
The Muller & Bros. vest is an expertly detailed piece entirely made in Japan from a high-quality 100% Japanese brown tweed wool fabric, soft cotton brown interior and an elegant beige cotton back panel. It is finished with a top-notch construction. It features a belted back with a buckle for adjustment, five pockets (one interior) and Corozo nut buttons that are made up of very tightly wound organic fibres, which give it excellent durability and scratch resistance.
This piece is a perfect match for indigo jeans or chinos or worn with a wool suit.
With a small atelier located in the mountains of Okayama, Muller & Bros. has become a choice brand since the launch of their first collection thanks to that inspiration in American and French workwear, a feature of each one of their garments, and to an incredible obsession with quality, construction and detailing.
