We hesitate to label this faded blue as a trend, considering its decades-long presence that has endured beyond typical menswear cycles. While denim enthusiasts often seek the worn look through daily use, at Redcast, we offer an alternative by providing a quality selvedge denim shirt for those who desire that look without waiting months.
This 3sixteen Crosscut Western offers a modern twist on traditional western shirts. Crafted from a 10oz Japanese selvedge denim, it undergoes a stonewash treatment. Unlike many artificially treated pieces, the achieved blue color on this 3sixteen shirt is genuinely impressive. In developing the wash treatment, 3sixteen deliberately avoided techniques like sanding, laser distressing, or harsh chemicals. Instead, they aimed to preserve and accentuate the fabric's inherent character, showcasing the distinctive vertical streaking that emerges as their denim ages. The stonewash treatment thus brings out a consistent indigo hue and deeper indigo tones along seams and edges that normal wear and washing couldn't achieve.
The shirt boasts a substantial yet soft feel, suitable for year-round wear. Its finishing touches include pearl snaps, a pewter top button, and selvedge detailing throughout.
The cut features a slight slim fit and stays true to standard sizing. If you usually wear a size M in 3sixteen shirts or other American brands, you'll find a suitable fit with this shirt in size M. However, as always, we recommend consulting our size chart for the perfect fit.
