These heavyweight t-shirts feature a 225 gsm jersey fabric that's custom knit for 3sixteen in Canada.
The material is then cut and sewn in San Francisco, CA in the same factory where their jeans are made. This crumple dyed version is all hand dyed in natural indigo by Green Matters Natural Dye Company in Pensilvania. Each tee is crumpled and indigo dyed by hand, which gives the shirt a beautiful greyish-blue hue with beautiful color texture and inconsistency up close. Please note that due to the nature of natural dye, no two tees are exactly the same - some are more discreet and others are crazier. Due to the dyeing process, these tees have a softer, more broken-in hand than other 3sixteen tees and will not shrink further.
The tees have a triple needle coverstitched never-sag collar that stays tight around the neck over extended wears.
Founded in LA by Johan Lam and Andrew Chen over a decade ago, 3sixteen's philosophy is evident in pieces they've developed since 2008: shirts, jackets, basics and accessories all take cues in form and function from their jeans. Fabrics and trims are always chosen for their capacity to develop character with time. 3sixteen aim is that, with diligent wear, the customers are rewarded with something well-aged, never "old."
