This beautiful knit watch cap features a half cardigan rib pattern with plenty of stretch and recovery. 3sixteen designed the cap length to be versatile enough to accommodate a single fold or double cuff depending on how shallow the wearer desires.
The fabric features a tucked rib knit stitch pattern. 3sixteen chose this pattern for its durability and recovery; it features narrower wales (or ribs) than a standard rib pattern and gives a sweater more structure. All cottons are grown, harvested, and spun into yarn locally and then knit into sweaters at the brand's facility in Arequipa, Peru. It leverages their country's mastery of knit textiles dating back to the ancient Inca Empire. We're inspired not only by the way this factory approaches their work, but by the ways they actively invest back into their community and entire supply chain.
This knitwear collection is entirely made in Peru, from seed to sweater. Both the indigo and mocha colourways are achieved through a garment dye which yields a more broken-in colour, whereas the black knits are yarn-dyed. All 3sixteen knits are prewashed to eliminate shrinkage.
Founded in LA by Johan Lam and Andrew Chen over a decade ago, 3sixteen's philosophy is evident in pieces they've developed since 2008: shirts, jackets, basics and accessories all take cues in form and function from their jeans. Fabrics and trims are always chosen for their capacity to develop character with time. 3sixteen aim is that, with diligent wear, the customers are rewarded with something well-aged, never "old."
