Cut from shining oiled finish Japanese saddle leather made by the iconic Tochigi tanner, established in 1937 and located in the Kantō region of Honshu, Japan. The leather is 100% vegetable tanned and features a lovely scent.
Tochigi Leather is called “a rarity in the world” because it uses only natural vegetable tannin. The factory’s 160 pits are filled with high-quality tannin made from Brazilian mimosa. Leather is dipped into the pits from the lowest tannin concentration to the highest, so the tannin slowly and naturally permeates over time.
