This beautiful piece is ONI's Type I jacket. It is a faithful reproduction of the iconic Vintage Levi's 506XX (Type I) that first appeared in the early 1900s. Crafted from natural indigo 16.5oz denim, the fabric features rope dyeing and a fantastic texture due to the use of different yarn counts. It is the best choice for those seeking a mid to heavyweight classic denim jacket with a lot of character and a crazy slubby texture.

Oishi-San uses different types of cotton to create this fabric and employs the iconic ONI low-tension weaving technique to produce a rugged and highly uneven touch.

The jacket boasts all of ONI's superior-quality details, including doughnut copper buttons and a custom veg-tanned cowhide leather patch.

The legend of ONI is alive to this day. In recent years Oishi-San has devoted himself to experimenting with widely varying grammages, rough textures, different indigo dyeing techniques and novelty cuts while always maintaining a very limited production and wielding his experience in denim which now goes back more than 60 years.
