These ONI jeans are just as comfortable as your favourite lounging clothes. They are perfect for those days when you need extra comfort and ease of movement. The fabric is made of 98% cotton and 2% polyurethane, so they are just as comfy as sweatpants while maintaining a raw denim look and all the slubbiness and roughness.
The jeans have undergone a beautiful Grey-Olive over-dye process during the tempi treatment (one-wash method), resulting in a greyish-olive coloured weft.
The fabric has been woven with ultra-low tension. As a result, it is mildly hairy, moderately neppy, slubby and heavily variegated in texture.
The jeans are made with all the superior-quality ONI details such as copper buttons and high-quality pocket bags. The patch is cut from premium deer leather. ONI opted to stitch the leather patch after the stone wash to get the best look. This process has been costly because the jeans needed to return to the sewing workshop after the washing process.
This stretch version of the 122 cut features a slim tapered fit -almost skinny- with a mid-low rise.
The legend of ONI is alive to this day. In recent years Oishi-San has devoted himself to experimenting with widely varying grammages, rough textures, different indigo dyeing techniques and novelty cuts while always maintaining a very limited production and wielding his experience in denim which now goes back more than 60 years.
