A double-breasted heavy outer jacket designed based on a 1950´s US army officer trench coat. The front features seven buttons while the bottom hem part features a single button for a unique design. Made with lightweight fabric, the melton wool used for the inner lining will keep you warm. The design was based on the Regulation Army Officer’s Overcoat and reconstructing it with a new design offers a fresh take on the classic fit.
This trench is double breasted, with broad lapels, a wide overlap, buttoned throat latch under the collar, buttoned cuff adjuster belts and buttoned handwarmer pockets.
Cotton poplin, which is often used for military wear, has been used for the outer shell. The inner lining is made with melton wool and offers sufficient heat-retention. Meltons are similar to Mackinaw cloth. It is a very solid cloth in which the twill weave pattern is completely concealed due to the finishing processes. Because of its dense, quasi-felted texture it frays minimally or not at all.
