The original run used \u003cstrong\u003eEMOT cotton\u003c\/strong\u003e — a blend drawn from East Memphis, New Orleans and Texas — with a 5.7-count warp and 6.7-count weft, engineered to produce the long, continuous fading lines that \u003cstrong\u003eleft-hand twill\u003c\/strong\u003e is known for. Watching that first batch age, the brand wanted the streaks longer still. So both warp and weft have been moved to a \u003cstrong\u003e6-count yarn\u003c\/strong\u003e, and the slubs have been lengthened, physically building more variation into the surface so that the fades run in \u003cstrong\u003eelongated vertical streaks\u003c\/strong\u003e rather than short breaks.
