This Strike Gold Loopwheeled sweatshirt is woven in the Japanese Kanekichi Wakayama workshop, one of only two workshops in the world still keeping in operation after more than 100 years the tubular textile production machines that allow seamless garments to be made. The only tension used in the knitting process is gravity, the end result being a knitted fabric with virtually no inbuilt stress or tension. A loopwheel machine rotates at just 24 revolutions per minute, a modern knitting machine in excess of 10 times that. The result is a heavyweight, soft but strong fabric, and the best sweatshirt material made today.
With a round neck, no side seams and 100% cotton, these built-to-last sweatshirts are super soft on the inside and resistant on the outside.
The cut is a tight fit on the chest and relaxed at the waist, with a length somewhat shorter than normal.
The fabric is pure raw 100% unwashed cotton, and It will shrink with the first wash. We highly recommend you soak the sweatshirt in lukewarm water before the first wear. Expect around 2,5cm (1in) of shrinkage in the chest and 3cm (1.25in) in the length after soaking, so please keep it in mind when searching for your size in the product size chart.
