Crafted from the iconic 'D01' denim fabric, this jacket reimagines a 1940s classic with selvedge detailing on the collar, symbolizing Studio D'Artisan's influence on vintage denim. Meticulously replicated from archived denim pieces, it boasts a distinct uneven texture using a robust no. 6 yarn blend and undergoes 20 rounds of natural indigo dyeing with the Kasezome technique by artisans in Tokushima. Featuring a classic Type I fit and a selvedge cinch back fastener, it pays homage to vintage Selvedge jackets of the 1930s and 1940s.

Studio D'Artisan SD-D01J "The Origin" 15oz Type I Denim Jacket

Despite being a Japanese jacket, we find the sizing of this Type II to be more Western than Japanese. If you usually wear a size M in American jackets, you'll find a suitable fit with this jacket in size 40 (M). However, as always, we recommend consulting our size chart for the perfect fit. It is unsanforized but one washed, so there will be no shrinkage.
