Expertly crafted by Studio D’Artisan, these jeans are woven on the legendary G3 shuttle loom — a machine steeped in history and craftsmanship. Using the exclusive “darashi weaving” technique, the artisans skillfully manipulate vertical tension to create a rich, slubby texture full of character. This process results in a denim fabric that’s deeply irregular and rugged — qualities that modern looms simply can’t replicate.
Paying homage to the golden age of American denim, Studio D’Artisan draws from its deep heritage to craft jeans that echo the spirit of mid-century workwear. Made from 12.5oz Japanese denim and finished with careful hand-distressing, each pair captures the worn-in look of a well-loved vintage classic.
Cut in the brand’s iconic 103 fit — a straight-leg silhouette with a high rise — these jeans blend timeless Americana style with the rebellious attitude and dramatic fades of the 1950s.
Fit Notes: SDA Jeans typically run slightly small, but this is not the case with this D1844U Jeans. We find them to be true to size, so we recommend selecting your usual size. However, as always, we advise checking the size chart first to ensure the perfect fit. The fabric is unsanforized but the jeans have been heavily washed, so no shrinkage is expected.
