Beneath, a natural crepe rubber sole offers exceptional shock absorption and a distinctive, cushioned feel. Crepe is prized for its lightweight flexibility and comfort, but it’s often just glued to the shoe in most modern boots. Not here. The Sahara Boots are built with traditional stitchdown construction, where the upper is flanged out and stitched directly to the midsole, which is then bonded to the crepe outsole. This method adds structure, water resistance, and significantly improves durability—while still letting the natural crepe provide that signature soft, responsive underfoot experience. It also means these boots are fully resoleable, built to last and age beautifully.

Fit Notes: John Lofgren Sahara Boots are available in a single E width. This last runs large and we recommend sizing down one full size from your standard US sneaker size or Brannock measurement. If you have wide feet, consider going down half a size. They fit similar to JL Combat boots (Lofgren M43 boots size US9 = Lofgren Combat boots size 9).
