Made with 16oz Extreme Denim, the fabric showcases a remarkable irregularity and heavy texture, achieved through a blend of slub and nep yarns meticulously combined during the weaving process. The kasezome-dyed kakishibu (persimmon) warp threads harmonize with super-slub wefts, creating a rich, rugged fabric that tells a story of dedication and precision. The weight and pronounced slub character embody the quintessential Japanese approach to denim innovation.
True to the Type II aesthetic, the jacket features distinctive box pleats, dual front pockets, and waist adjusters. Fit Notes: Despite being a Japanese jacket, we find the sizing of this Type II to be more Western than Japanese. If you usually wear a size M in American jackets, you'll find a suitable fit with this jacket in size 40 (M). However, as always, we recommend consulting our size chart for the perfect fit. It is unsanforized but one washed, so there will be no shrinkage.
