UES handmade backpack is a masterfully crafted Japanese piece with premium materials. The base features vegetable-tanned leather, complemented by indigo tricotine fabric and solid brass zippers for durability. The distinctive touch comes from the switch to glove leather, renowned for its use in baseball gloves, providing a unique texture. The spacious main compartment, sealed by a large zipper, is enhanced by a deep side pocket for bottles, vertical/horizontal loops for carabiners, and a small-item pocket. UES utilizes fine-count yarn and an old power loom, achieving a robust, high-density tricotine fabric that is both windproof and waterproof.

UES is a small Japanese label founded by Chuji Matsumoto in 1994. UES comes from the English word "Waste", which means that Matsumoto-San wants you to make full use of each garment for as long as possible before discarding it. It is a small judgement of the concept of disposable wear that is so commonplace today in the world of fashion and from which Matsumoto-San disassociates himself completely.
