The Viberg Service Boot is a direct descendant of the original model, first introduced in 1931. This iconic design was also adopted by various nations as the standard issue military boot during WWII. However, Viberg's quintessential Service Boot draws its inspiration from the Canadian military's WWII Service Boot pattern. In an exclusive collaboration with Charles F. Stead tannery Tannery, these exceptional stitchdown boots feature a beautiful hand rubbed finish.

For this edition, Viberg partnered with the renowned Charles F. Stead tannery, working with Toast Waxy Commander leather in a refined desert sand tone and built with Viberg’s signature Stitchdown construction. Waxy Commander is a waxed bovine suede that delivers a distinctly casual workwear aesthetic while being water-resistant, durable, and easy to care for. Over time, it develops a unique patina, as the natural dyes and waxes embedded in the hide deepen with wear.

Based in Leeds and operating since 1890, Charles F. Stead is one of the oldest and most respected tanneries in the UK. At its peak, Britain had more than 300 tanneries; today, fewer than 30 remain, with Stead standing out as a benchmark for world-class suede production.

The signature double-row stitching on this Service Boot is hand-crafted using Viberg's Stitchdown construction method. Viberg has a long history of producing Stitchdown logging boots suitable for the wet, harsh climate of the Pacific Northwest. The turned-out vamp causes water and dirt to be wicked away, stopping moisture from entering the boot and keeping your feet dry in almost any condition. Each pair is finished with refined details, such as brogue cap toes, gun metal eyelets and Ridgeway outsoles, which feature thick, protruding lugs and large ridge channels that offer great traction and stability.
