The TCB 60's jeans is a reproduction of the iconic vintage 1966 Levi's 501 with a paper patch. It is made with an unsanforized 13oz denim fabric. From the fabric to sewing to silhouette, it is made up to the details.

The fabric is proprietary TCB unsanforized denim. It is made with 100% San Joaquin valley (California) cotton. San Joaquin Cotton is made in the south of the Central Valley, vast farmland spreading in the middle of California. This farmland uses snow melting water from mountain ranges, and cotton is brought up in groundwater derived from this water. It is a little bit lighter in colour and more blue in hue, which is reminiscent of the colour of vintage Levi's. It has slight hairiness and turns out very soft with wears and washes, and you will obtain beautiful fades and TCB's signature roping.

The fitt is also inspired in the 60's Levi's 501. A Regular straight-slim cut with a medium rise.

For the sewing process, the Core spun yarn thread in yarn count of 20 is used throughout this jeans. The paper patch is all hand-made. when the jeans got pretty faded in general, then it's about the time the paper patch gets torn, leading to showing the dark indigo face from there. When sewing the patch onto the waist, it used to be done in one-stroke in the 50's but then in the 60's, the patch was attached after the construction of jeans itself. The seams around the patch were applied a few mm inner to the centre so that as you wear the fringe of the patch goes a bit round-ish, which is a good character from 60's denim.

Both the unsanforized denim fabric and the jacket construction have been made in Kojima by Japanese denim craftsmen.

Note: Some sizes may have the new two cats paper patch. Due to Levi's Japan copyright, TCB has recently changed the design.

TCB (which stands for Two Cats Brand or Taking Care of Business) is a Japanese label founded in Kojima by Hajime Inoue in 2012. It specializes in reproductions of the classic American denim icons produced from the 1920s to the 1960s. Among his garments, we can find some of the highest-quality reproductions we have ever seen, made in his own workshop on sewing machines more than a hundred years.
