Crafted with 100% cotton twill fabric woven on vintage shuttle looms, the surface texture of this fabric is truly unique. The inherent irregularities and characteristic weave of twill, courtesy of the shuttle loom, offer both a rugged appearance and a substantial, comfortable feel.

For durability, the shirt features triple-stitched seams in key areas like the shoulders, providing superior strength compared to double-stitched alternatives and embodying the essence of workwear aesthetics.

Adorning the shirt are black-painted metal buttons, designed to develop a unique vintage patina over time and with each wash as the paint gradually wears off, revealing glimpses of the metal beneath. While all buttons on the shirt are coated in black, the button on the left chest pocket stands out with the additional detail of The Flat Head logo painted in white. This subtle yet distinctive accent adds a touch of understated style to the garment when worn.

The shirts from Flat Head are more True to Size compared to other upper garments of the brand, such as t-shirts or sweatshirts, which tend to run small. The Flat Head is one of the benchmark Japanese repro Americana-style brands. Its founder, Mayashi Kobayashi, is known in the scene for being a die-hard fanatic of 1950s American style. Inspired by the music, motorbikes, cars, architecture of the era, and with a clear rockabilly influence, Kobayashi created in 1996 a truly authentic brand that today has some firm devotees. It stands out for the extreme quality of each one of its pieces. The brand is always very much aware of a curious philosophy that believes that a product is fully finished only after the customer has worn and moulded it to themselves.
