Introducing the extraordinary Ultimate Pima Tsuriami T-Shirt, meticulously crafted from the unique Ultimate Pima cotton, an organically grown extra-long staple cotton variety that represents the pinnacle of quality, accounting for only 1% of total cotton production in the United States.
This remarkable t-shirt is meticulously produced on century-old "Turi-Ami" circular knitting loopwheel machines from the renowned Kanekichi Wakayama workshop in Japan. These vintage machines operate at a leisurely 24 revolutions per minute, using gravity to create fabric without stress or tension. This deliberate pace results in exceptionally soft yet incredibly robust fabric, offering a unique vintage charm beyond the reach of modern machines.
Each individual t-shirt is constructed for longevity, with a substantial fabric weight of 200 grams per square meter (equivalent to 5.9 ounces per square yard) by traditional standards. Despite its weight, the fabric maintains a compact yet luxuriously smooth feel, becoming even softer with each wash and wear. This ensures that it ages gracefully alongside you, providing both durability and comfort.
Despite being a Japanese brand, we find the sizing of Wonder Looper garments to be more Western than Japanese. If you usually wear a size M in American t-shirts, you'll find a suitable fit with this piece in size M. However, as always, we recommend consulting our size chart for the perfect fit.
