The fabric is knit from Ultimate Pima cotton — an organically grown, extra-long staple variety that represents the top 1% of US cotton production. The exceptionally long fiber length produces a yarn of superior softness, strength, and surface smoothness that standard cotton simply cannot match. At 200 gsm / 5.9 oz, the fabric sits in a refined midweight range — dense and smooth to the touch, with enough substance to hold its shape, yet light enough for year-round wear. With each wash and wear, the fabric softens further, developing a character that only improves over time.
The fabric is knit in Wakayama, Japan on century-old tsuriami circular loopwheel machines operating at a pace of just one meter per hour. This deliberately slow process gives the cloth a natural flexibility and vintage quality that modern high-speed machinery is incapable of replicating.
The T-shirt is cut in a modern athletic fit with a binder neck ribbed collar for a clean, structured neckline, and finished with Union Special flat side seam construction — a detail borrowed from vintage American sportswear that eliminates seam bulk and ensures lasting comfort against the skin.
Fit Notes: This t-shirt fits true to size and runs slightly larger than most Japanese tees. Compared to most global American brands, a size M fits similarly to a standard American Medium.
