Inside Redcast – Meet our Team!

about us

As we already told you in our 4th-anniversary Post, this year 2022 we’ve had many reasons for celebrating, and among the most important is seeing how the Redcast team has grown. Now Eduardo and I have the support of some fantastic people, without whom we could not have continued to grow and improve Redcast.

So at this time, when we all take stock of the year that is ending, we think it’s a good opportunity to introduce you to the other people who currently also form part of Redcast and to tell you a bit more about all of us.

In the photo, from right to left, we are María, Jimena, Eduardo and Isabel.

We hope you enjoy meeting the people who prepare your orders and answer your queries every day!

I WAS BORN IN...

Bilbao, one of the most important cities in the Basque Country, known for the Guggenheim museum and its extensive and varied gastronomy.

FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS SONG:

Santa Tell Me - Ariana Grande

FAVOURITE SONG OR BAND RIGHT NOW:

OneRepublic

3 PLACES IN MADRID THAT YOU WOULD RECOMMEND VISITING NO MATTER WHAT:

After visiting the revamped Plaza de España, strolling to the Temple of Debod, an impressive Egyptian temple standing in the middle of the city; taking an aperitivo and wandering around the La Latina district during the weekend; going up to some of the rooftops on Gran Vía.

A TRIP I WOULD DO AGAIN AND AGAIN:

New York, no question. I was lucky that my trip coincided with Thanksgiving, and I loved watching the Macy’s parade. There is so much energy in the city and I’m dying to go back at another time of the year, in spring for example.

AN IDEA FOR GIFTING OR SELF-GIFTING IN THIS HOLIDAY SEASON:

A box of experiences (wellbeing, getaways, gastronomy, etc.).

FAVOURITE PIECE FROM REDCAST AW22:

The 3sixteen Crosscut Flannel Sienna Check. I love the colours.

I WAS BORN IN...

Nava, a small village in Asturias (in the north of Spain), surrounded by mountains, very close to the sea and considered to be one of the country’s cider capitals.

FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS SONG:

All I Want for Christmas is You - Mariah Carey

FAVOURITE SONG OR BAND RIGHT NOW:

Viva la Vida - Coldplay

3 PLACES IN MADRID THAT YOU WOULD RECOMMEND VISITING NO MATTER WHAT:

The Royal Palace, to enjoy a summer sunset there; a walk around the Parque del Retiro, not forgetting a look at the Palacio de Cristal; going up to the rooftop of Hotel RIU on Plaza de España to see the whole of Madrid from its heights.

A TRIP I WOULD DO AGAIN AND AGAIN:

New York. It will always remind me of my honeymoon, plus it’s incredible to feel so small among all the buildings yet as important as if you were constantly on a film set. It’s simply BREATHTAKING!!!

AN IDEA FOR GIFTING OR SELF-GIFTING IN THIS HOLIDAY SEASON:

Tickets for a concert or a show is always a great gift.

FAVOURITE PIECE FROM REDCAST AW22:

The Shoes Like Pottery High Sneaker. Ideal all year round.

I WAS BORN IN...

Madrid. I like this city more every day. The gastronomic and leisure offering is incredible and every passing day brings Madrid closer to becoming a global reference.

FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS SONG:

Run Rudolph Run - Reverend Horton Heat

FAVOURITE SONG OR BAND RIGHT NOW:

Storm Around the World - !!!

3 PLACES IN MADRID THAT YOU WOULD RECOMMEND VISITING NO MATTER WHAT:

Visiting the Reina Sofía museum and especially Picasso’s Guernica; a walk around the Las Letras district and having a few glasses of wine in its centuries-old taverns; or visiting some of the city’s iconic markets, such as San Fernando market or Antón Martín market.

A TRIP I WOULD DO AGAIN AND AGAIN:

Iceland. It is the closest to another planet I’ve ever seen. It’s staggering to take a car in Reykjavik and take to the open road in search of volcanoes, glaciers and adventures.

AN IDEA FOR GIFTING OR SELF-GIFTING IN THIS HOLIDAY SEASON:

A Japanese stationery kit. Notebook: Kunisawa + Brass ballpoint pen: The Superior Labor.

FAVOURITE PIECE FROM REDCAST AW22:

The new ONI Awa-Shoai x Kakishibu Jeans. The combination of colours and texture is unique.

The rooftop of the Círculo de Bellas Artes, from where you’ll enjoy some spectacular views of the city roofs; spending a Sunday at the Rastro flea market, wandering around and visiting small antiques shops; visiting Plaza Mayor square and eating a squid roll in one of the surrounding bars.

A TRIP I WOULD DO AGAIN AND AGAIN:

Japan is without a doubt in my top 3 places to visit, but thinking of somewhere closer and more accessible, I would never tire of Copenhagen. I love to cycle around the city, discover designer shops, the smell of cinnamon buns when walking past their delicious cake shops, etc. The city inspires me.

A gift basket full of good cheese, wine, chocolates, and more!

FAVOURITE PIECE FROM REDCAST AW22:

Hi chicos, great to know more about you all! Madrid sounds great but I’m a country lad at heart & love the smaller intimate places, but one day I must bite the bullet! Thanks for all your expert advice & help ensuring orders are always spot on- have a great Xmas & an even better New Year, Terence.

A slight disagreement with Eduardo about Madrid…becoming a global reference. Ah, on a number of different fronts – Madrid IS definitely on the map as a prized locale!
Merry Christmas all!

Love reading about your wonderful team. Next time I’m in Spain, I will stop by. I wanted to this year, but I was doing Camino De Santiago.
