Pure Blue Japan

Since its inception, Pure Blue Japan has solidified its status as a cornerstone in Japanese Denim, acclaimed as a master of indigo dyeing. Born from Kenichi Iwaya's denim passion, nurtured in Okayama, the brand emerged in 1997. Iwaya-San's dedication lies in crafting remarkable fabrics with unique, slubby textures and distinct character. Using shuttle looms from Ibara, Okayama, and premium cottons from the United States and India, he has meticulously woven Pure Blue Japan's vision. Presenting a modern take on the classic jean, Pure Blue Japan captivates denim enthusiasts worldwide with contemporary cuts and distinctive fades. Noteworthy recent achievements encompass the creation of remarkable fabrics like the iconic "super slub" and "nep," along with employing hand-applied natural Tokushima indigo dyes for their remarkable "Aizome" pieces.
