Crafted from 14oz original denim woven on the legendary Toyoda G3 shuttle loom using Supima cotton, this jacket offers both durability and comfort. Supima cotton, renowned for its exceptional softness, durability, and lustrous sheen, makes this masterpiece a must-have for denim enthusiasts.
The Toyoda G3 loom, introduced over 50 years ago, is a rare machine that produces unique, rough-textured denim with even yarn and ruggedness. Maintenance is challenging due to the unavailability of replacement parts, and it has low productivity, weaving only 5 meters of fabric per hour. Nonetheless, select Japanese brands continue the G3 loom legacy, using it to create original denim with unparalleled quality and texture.
This jacket boasts premium vintage features, including custom-engraved iron buttons and a back cinch that enhance its vintage aesthetic.The custom patch, cut from premium heavyweight cowhide leather, has been expertly stitched onto the jacket post one-wash process, as per Redcast Heritage's request, ensuring the finest appearance.
Fit Notes: We usually recommend going true to size with FOB Factory jackets, but for this model, it's best to check the size chart, especially for the length. This is a faithful reproduction of the Type I, so it's a short jacket designed to be worn with high-rise trousers. If you don't plan to wear it with high-rise pants or prefer a looser fit, we suggest choosing one size up from your usual.
