The silhouette is based on vintage American overpants, with adjustments to the waist area for improved fit — while the fabric elevates a rugged pattern into something decidedly more sophisticated.

The cloth is an original 50% cotton / 50% silk yarn-dyed typewriter fabric, developed and woven in-house at Momotaro. Combining the crisp structure of a densely woven typewriter cotton with the natural luster and softness of silk, the fabric delivers a quiet refined sheen and exceptional hand feel — completely unlike anything associated with standard military overpants. The yarn-dye process gives the fabric its layered color tone and depth from the very first wear.
