These nylon sashiko shorts were conceived as a breakthrough by transitioning from cotton to nylon. Momotaro aimed to create a unique sashiko climbing short with a distinctive Gorpcore touch, incorporating a durable technical material like nylon and a modern, relaxed style without sacrificing indigo dye and superior craftsmanship.
Weaving nylon fabric was challenging, and various obstacles arose during production. However, Momotaro succeeded in bringing this idea to life thanks to the collaboration of skilled craftsmen in weaving and sewing. Nylon's superior strength and lightness compared to cotton allowed them to achieve an indigo dye on a material rarely seen in the heritage scene. These jeans are versatile, suitable for both city and outdoor wear, and we recommend wearing them ruggedly, as the indigo fading on the nylon sashiko will be unique.
The relaxed cut and above-knee length make them sturdy, comfortable, and versatile. They feature an elasticated waistband with an adjustment buckle and handy pockets. We recommend choosing your usual size, but as always, we suggest checking the size chart first to find your perfect fit.
