Samurai's heavyweight contest flannel work shirt is the winning entry from the Samurai April Truth flannel project held in 2023. After more than a year of careful production, from fabric weaving to sewing, this exceptional shirt is finally here. Crafted in Niigata Prefecture, the birthplace of yarn-dyed fabrics, this flannel is thick yet soft, offering a textured feel that’s perfect for any occasion.
True to the Samurai legacy, the construction is impeccable, featuring nut buttons, triple chain-stitched side seams with a distinct run-off, and reinforced double-fabric forearms for enhanced durability. The shirt showcases warp and weft yarns made from very thick heavyweight yarns, typically used in heavyweight denim, with the warp utilizing double threads for increased strength. Slub yarns in the weft add a unique rough texture.
Noteworthy details abound, with cuffs, collar, and button panel adorned with a Samurai guarantee label.
