Fit Notes: Although The Rite Stuff is a Japanese brand, its tees follow a more Western-style sizing. If you typically wear a size M in American tees, you’ll find that size M works well here too. That said, we always recommend checking our size chart to ensure the perfect fit.

The Rite Stuff Heavyweight Loopwheel Tees are crafted from a substantial 9oz loopwheel fabric, delivering unmatched comfort and durability. Made in Japan at the historic Kanekichi workshop in Wakayama—one of only two workshops in the world still operating authentic loopwheel knitting machines after more than a century—these tees are the pinnacle of traditional craftsmanship.

The unique loopwheel process relies on gravity as the only tension, producing fabric with no built-in stress, resulting in an exceptionally soft, long-lasting garment. With machines running at just 24 revolutions per minute, only 8–10 tees’ worth of fabric are created each day, making every piece a true rarity.

The exclusive grey edition begins with unbleached cotton and is custom garment-dyed in a unique shade developed only for The Rite Stuff—you won’t find it anywhere else.

Each tee is meticulously sewn in Japan using all-cotton thread, finished with Japanese woven tags, and complemented by USA-made hang tags and stickers. Produced in collaboration with John Lofgren & Co., these heavyweight tees represent the highest standard of quality in heritage apparel.
