If you're the kind of guy who values cost-per-wear, look no further than this Whitesville sweatshirt. This durable heavyweight wonder is guaranteed to last a lifetime with a flattering fit, a soft feel and exceptional warmth. It feels like "a warm hug".
Whitesville Loopwheeled ("Tsuri-Ami") sweatshirt is woven in the Japanese Kanekichi Wakayama workshop, one of only two workshops in the world still keeping in operation after more than 100 years the tubular textile production machines that allow seamless garments to be made. The only tension used in the knitting process is gravity, the end result being a knitted fabric with virtually no inbuilt stress or tension. A loopwheel machine rotates at just 24 revolutions per minute, with only 8-10 garments worth of fabric produced per day. A modern knitting machine in excess of 10 times that. The result is a heavyweight, soft but strong fabric, and the best sweatshirt material made today.
It features a crewneck and no side seams. This built-to-last sweatshirt is super soft on the inside and resistant on the outside.
The Whitesville brand is a small and long-defunct sportswear label from the "good old days" in American clothing that was resurrected by Japan's Toyo Enterprise (Buzz Rickson's, Sugar Cane, Sun Surf).
