The Denime “Lot. 220XX-47” 1947 Model is a precise reproduction of post-war American denim, capturing the spirit of 1947-era jeans—a pivotal moment in denim history defined by durability, simplicity, and refined construction.

Since 1988, Denime has built its reputation on authentic vintage reproductions, and under Warehouse & Co., this legacy reaches new levels of precision and craftsmanship.

Part of the “XX Series”, the fabric is developed with Kurabo using yarns based on detailed analysis of vintage denim from the 1920s–30s. A blend of American cotton and brown Foxfibre® creates a richly textured, slubby denim with depth and character.

The yarns are rope-dyed in indigo, using Warehouse’s low-temperature refining process, which preserves a white core while saturating the surface—resulting in high-contrast fades over time. Woven on vintage Toyoda GL3 shuttle looms with 7.3 × 7.3 yarns, the fabric shows strong vertical grain and natural irregularities typical of mid-century denim.

The selvedge ID, featuring a white and golden brown line, subtly reflects the cotton blend and heritage inspiration behind the fabric.

The fit is a classic 1947 silhouette—a regular straight with a higher rise, slightly more structured and balanced than later models, with minimal taper and a clean leg line. It offers a timeless profile that works effortlessly across styles.

Finished with vintage-correct details such as a leather patch, hidden rivets, red tab, and original iron buttons, this model stands as a true homage to classic American denim.
