The FOB Factory F2361 Moleskin Riding Jacket is a modern reinterpretation of 1950s French work jackets, built with an uncompromising focus on fabric density, protection, and long-term wearability. Crafted in Japan from FOB Factory’s original extra-thick 100% cotton moleskin, this jacket delivers exceptional wind resistance, durability, and a uniquely refined texture that evolves beautifully with use.

The moleskin is densely woven, heavily brushed with precision needles, and then short-cut to prevent pilling, resulting in a fabric that feels compact, smooth, and leather-like to the touch, while remaining fully breathable thanks to its all-cotton construction. With wear, the jacket gradually softens and molds to the body, developing character without losing structure.

The corduroy collar adds a subtle textural contrast and is cut slightly smaller for a clean, refined appearance when worn open, while the integrated chin strap allows the collar to be fully raised in cold conditions, effectively blocking wind at the neck. The jacket features raglan sleeves, enhancing comfort and freedom of movement for daily wear.

Inside, the jacket is fully lined with a reproduction of the fabric used in the legendary FOB Factory M-51 Parka, made from the original “VATDYE Ox” fabric, selected for its outstanding durability and stability. This full backing reinforces the jacket’s cold-weather performance without adding unnecessary bulk.

Functionality is deeply rooted in the design. The jacket includes two large chest pockets, flap pockets at the waist, and an additional hand-warmer pocket positioned above the front flap pocket for quick access. The front closure features a vintage-inspired double zipper, faithfully reproduced from American hardware of the 1940s–1950s, allowing for versatile temperature control and ease of movement. The rear side of the fly and flap backing are finished in corduroy, reinforcing high-wear areas while adding a subtle heritage detail.

To ensure comfort during extended wear, side ventilation is integrated to prevent heat buildup. The overall silhouette is clean, modern, and beautifully balanced, maintaining its workwear DNA while offering a refined shape that feels relevant for contemporary styling.

Built entirely from 100% cotton shell and lining, the F2361 is designed to become softer, more personal, and more comfortable with every wear. It is a timeless, season-spanning jacket that resists trend cycles and delivers enduring performance, whether styled with denim, boots, or tailored casual layers.

Fit Notes: Although this is a Japanese-made jacket, the sizing runs closer to Western standards than traditional Japanese fits.
