The Fullcount 2102SSW Type II Denim Jacket is a faithful reproduction of one of the most iconic silhouettes in denim history. Fullcount’s interpretation remains true to the spirit of the original while introducing a new lightweight denim developed for superior comfort and versatility. Weighing just 11.5oz, the fabric offers a noticeably softer and more wearable feel compared to traditional heavier denim jackets, making it ideal for warmer weather or layering throughout the year.

This special “Super Smooth” selvedge denim is woven using 100% hand-picked Zimbabwean cotton, a fiber prized for its long staple length, natural softness, and durability. Fullcount were pioneers in using Zimbabwe cotton in denim production, and the result is a fabric that feels incredibly comfortable from the start while still developing beautiful vintage-style fades over time.

Visually, the denim reproduces the uneven character and depth found in vintage garments, offering a subtle texture that evolves naturally with wear. Despite its lighter weight, it retains the authentic look and aging potential associated with classic selvedge denim.

The silhouette follows the traditional Type II design, featuring a slightly boxy body, controlled length, and room through the sleeves. True to the original specification, the jacket does not include hand pockets, reinforcing its authentic mid-century workwear character. Front pleats and a chest pocket with flap complete the classic layout.

Construction details reflect Fullcount’s dedication to historical accuracy and quality, including custom metal buttons, copper rivets at stress points, a vegetable-tanned goatskin leather patch, and 100% cotton thread throughout the garment.
