The fabric is an original 12oz sanforized selvedge denim that combines an authentic, classic appearance with a surprisingly lightweight feel and soft, comfortable hand. Woven at Japan Blue's own mill in Kojima, Okayama, the cloth carries the honest character of traditional selvedge production alongside the refined touch that defines the brand today. The warp threads are dyed with pure indigo, delivering a remarkably faithful natural blue tone that continues to evolve with wear.

This iteration arrives with a medium indigo stone wash — a subtle, considered finish applied through Kojima-Okayama's world-class processing expertise. The wash softens the fabric, opens up the color, and delivers a broken-in feel from the very first wear — perfect for those who want the softness and depth of aged denim without the wait.

The silhouette is a relaxed wide straight fit with a high rise — generous through the hip and thigh, cut with moderate volume through the leg that falls cleanly and straight to the hem. The result is a balanced, versatile profile that pairs equally well with boots, sneakers, or sandals.

Construction details are kept intentionally minimalist to preserve the clean visual identity: a UNIVERSAL Japan® metal zipper fly, copper male rivets, a blue cowhide leather patch, and a distinctive blue selvedge ID that quietly signals the new-line origins.

Fit Notes: This model runs slightly large, and is only produced in even-numbered sizes. Compared to most global American brands, we recommend sizing down one from your usual size for the intended fit. As the denim has been stone washed, no shrinkage is expected.
