The John Lofgren Bootmaker Leather Care Kit is meticulously assembled to provide comprehensive care for premium leather boots. Every component has been selected to maintain the integrity, appearance, and longevity of heritage footwear — from daily conditioning to deeper restorative care.
The leather cream is specially formulated to nourish and protect leather, keeping it supple, conditioned, and resistant to cracking through seasons of wear. The leather cleaner is a gentle yet effective solution designed to remove dirt, grime, and old polish — restoring leather's natural surface without stripping its character. The leather oil is designed to deeply condition leather, ensuring it remains soft, hydrated, and weather-resistant, particularly well-suited to oil-tanned leathers like Horween Chromexcel.
The pig bristle brush is crafted by a venerable brush manufacturer established in the Taisho era (1912–1926) — each brush handmade with precision, showcasing over a century of tradition in every detail. Constructed from Japanese Buna tree wood and genuine pig bristles, it is ideal for dusting and finishing, drawing out a brilliant shine from conditioned leather. The accompanying horsehair brush is produced by the same manufacturer to identical standards, designed for applying cream and buffing the surface to a smooth, even finish.
A soft, durable flannel cloth completes the kit, perfect for applying products and delivering a final polish.
Everything is presented in a traditional Kiribako — a Japanese Paulownia wood box — a refined piece of storage that reflects Japanese craftsmanship and houses the kit beautifully.
