The design draws from the Kikkou motif, a traditional Japanese pattern that resembles the hexagonal structure of a tortoise shell. In Japanese culture, the tortoise symbolizes longevity, resilience, and lasting happiness, making this motif a powerful emblem of protection and good fortune.

Measuring approximately 14 mm × 13 mm, the charm is crafted from solid sterling silver (925). The master mold was meticulously created by Kobashi Studio founder Junichi Kobashi, with a vintage-inspired finish that intentionally preserves subtle file marks and handmade distortions—details that emphasize the authenticity of handcrafted production.

Each piece is cast in sterling silver by a family-operated metal workshop in Tokyo, ensuring exceptional quality and traditional metalworking expertise.

The backside of the charm is engraved with “Kobashi” in Japanese characters, reinforcing the charm’s identity and connection to its origins.
