The Kobashi Studio Modern Classic Kikumon Bandana showcases exquisite Japanese textile artistry, crafted in Tokyo by a scarf company established in 1918. The bandana merges traditional techniques with modern aesthetics in a single piece — substantial, refined, and rich in cultural reference.

The bandana is made from 100% cotton, silk-screen printed and dyed using a method that allows the rich pigment to soak through to the reverse side. The color is "Shinku" (真紅) — a deep, brightly dyed Japanese red historically achieved through safflower dyeing, prized for its vibrant warmth and depth.

The design is hand-illustrated by Kobashi Studio founder Junichi Kobashi, who reinterpreted a very old Japanese chrysanthemum pattern through a contemporary lens. The composition features bold white chrysanthemum blossoms in full bloom, surrounded by intricately detailed leaves and delicate berry-like buds. The flowers are rendered with clean, symmetrical petal arrangements, while the leaves are filled with fine hatching lines that add texture and depth. The composition flows organically across the fabric, creating a sense of natural rhythm and quiet elegance.
