The Kobashi Studio Key Snap Large is a substantial, refined accessory designed for serious daily carry. Large and heavy in hand, this solid brass key snap features a double ring and a rotating can mechanism that prevents key bundles from twisting — solving one of the most common frustrations of everyday key carry.
Each snap is handmade using sand-cast brass and meticulously assembled at a family-operated foundry in Tokyo, established in 1958. The spring lever — plated in solid brass color — is the only part made of steel, ensuring the necessary durability for daily mechanical use while preserving the warm aesthetic of solid brass throughout.
Over time, the brass develops a rich personal patina through daily use — turning a functional everyday tool into a quiet, evolving accessory that carries the marks of its owner's life.
Kobashi Studio is a small Tokyo-based atelier specializing in solid brass accessories of the highest quality and detailing found today. Its founder, Junichi Kobashi, draws upon completely handcrafted production using vintage machinery and manual processes to create some of the most beautiful brass pieces in production today.
