Model size
Javi wears a size 6 (L) t-shirt. He is 185 cm (6'1") tall and weighs 72 kg (159 lbs).
The template for this shirt is an original worker's button-up found at a flea market, dated 1911, and the 102 follows it down to the details that machines later made obsolete. The neckline is the clearest example: the collar edge is turned over twice by hand, a fine piece of handwork that demands real skill — exactly how necklines were finished a century ago, before modern edging machines existed. Around it sit an attached button placket in cotton fabric, fabric-covered laundry buttons of the period type, and the interior neck patch that working men's shirts carried then as a matter of course.
The fabric is Merz b. Schwanen's Maco Imit: 67% organic cotton and 33% viscose, knitted as a single-thread, 4.6oz (155 g/m²) loopwheeled jersey. The name is its history — Maco was the fine Egyptian cotton of the era, and "Maco Imit" was the working answer, blending cotton with viscose to imitate that silky hand at an honest price. The result is a lightweight, soft, easy-going cloth, all-natural, fully recyclable and free of chemical additives.
The cut is the brand's classic fit: tubular, straight off the loopwheel with no side seams, close to the body and timeless — never tight. The sleeves finish in authentic flat-knitted cuffs, and triangular underarm gussets keep the movement free. Regular length, with 2.5–4 cm (1–2") of extra length built in depending on size, since the garment may shrink in the first wash. Made in Germany.
Fit Notes: The 102 has a tubular classic fit — close to the body, never tight — and it runs slightly smaller than standard American sizing, so we recommend sizing up: if you typically wear a size M in American T-shirts, take a size L. The shirt is not pre-washed and may shrink in length after the first wash, which is why 1–2" of extra length is already built into the cut — it may seem a little long the first time you try it on, but it settles into its intended fit after washing. However, individual body types can vary, so, as always, we recommend consulting our size chart for the perfect fit.
