The Momotaro MMGJ6005 #002 Type II Jacket reinterprets one of Japan's most traditional workwear fabrics through the lens of refined material development. While traditional sashiko fabric typically uses large amounts of lower-grade fibers, Momotaro has taken the technique in an entirely new direction — building this cloth from 100% Suvin cotton, an extra-long staple variety widely regarded as one of the world's finest cottons.

The result is a fabric that maintains the distinctive tactile character of sashiko — with its layered, dimensional weave and honest workwear surface — while offering the supreme softness and hand feel unique to premium ELS cotton. Finished with a deep indigo overdye, the fabric develops a rich blue that evolves gracefully with wear and washing.
