Originally developed in the 1950s for U.S. fighter pilots operating in pressurized cockpits, the MA-1 replaced earlier leather flight jackets with a lighter, more streamlined nylon design. Momotaro takes that proven silhouette and elevates it with details drawn from Japan's rich embroidery tradition.

The outer shell is crafted from high-density 66 nylon twill, the same type of durable nylon originally developed for military specifications. The fabric is thick and resilient, yet maintains a supple texture and refined sheen that gives the jacket a more polished presence than standard military reproductions.

The back panel features delicate tonal embroidery depicting Momotaro's signature pheasant motif alongside the word "Japan", stitched entirely in matching navy thread.
