The Momotaro MMTS6029 is a refined heavyweight T-shirt built around an original 8.5oz high-density jersey fabric made from 100% Zimbabwe cotton. Zimbabwe cotton is a long-staple variety prized for its softness, strength, and exceptional aging character — the same fiber Momotaro uses throughout its most celebrated denim.

The fabric is knit with 14-count, 20-gauge straight yarn at a high density, producing a substantial, evenly built jersey with real weight and structure. The result is a T-shirt with a crisp structure and smooth hand feel that holds shape across long days of wear while remaining comfortable against the skin.

Each colorway is finished using traditional Japanese botanical dyeing methods — a product-dye process that gives every piece subtle tonal depth and softness unique to natural pigments. This light black colorway is dyed with bamboo charcoal, producing a deep, softly nuanced black tone with the subtle warmth and evolving character that only natural pigments deliver.
