At the core of the 0411 is a custom-developed 15.5oz Japanese selvedge denim, woven on vintage Toyoda shuttle looms under extremely low tension. The warp yarns feature heavily textured long slub threads, while the weft incorporates nep yarns spun from recycled cotton. This combination produces a surface rich in character—subtly irregular, slightly rough, and full of depth.

Dyed using 100% pure indigo through traditional rope dyeing techniques, the yarns retain a white core. This contrast between dyed surface and undyed center creates strong vertical fading over time, revealing high-contrast wear patterns as the denim evolves. Originally developed around 1990, the extra-dark indigo tone ensures dramatic aging potential while maintaining a classic aesthetic.

Finished with thoughtful details such as a “Laundry Record” tag for tracking wear and washes, custom engraved buttons, copper rivets, and a vegetable-tanned natural cowhide patch, the 0411 embodies Omoto’s understated but meticulous approach to denim craftsmanship.

Fit Notes: This model fits true to size for Omoto Denim. The brand produces only even-numbered sizes, and we recommend taking your usual size. Compared to most global American brands, sizing is similar or slightly smaller, so you may take the same size or one size up if you are between sizes. As always, we strongly recommend checking our size chart to find your perfect size. The denim is unsanforized but has been one-washed, so no further shrinkage is expected. With regular wear, the waistband will stretch approximately 1 inch, allowing the fit to settle comfortably over time. That said, we don’t recommend sizing down, as starting too tight may cause discomfort and alter the intended fit of the garment.
