Oishi-San is well known for interpreting American workwear staples through his Japanese dystopian lens. He has designed a drop needle coverall that is inspired by a type of workwear garment that was popular in the mid-20th century. These coveralls were made from a durable fabric, typically cotton or denim, and were designed to be worn over clothing to protect it from dirt, grease, and other work-related debris.

The "drop needle" refers to a specific type of knit used in the 12oz denim fabric of the coverall. This type of knit creates small, regularly spaced holes in the material, which allow air to flow through and help to keep the wearer cool and comfortable.

This beautiful piece is designed for work, with plenty of pockets and durable construction, and is understated enough to add some depth to everything from a hoodie to a tee. It has one inner and one outer breast pocket, as well as two handwarmer pockets at the waist.

The legend of ONI is alive to this day. In recent years Oishi-San has devoted himself to experimenting with widely varying grammages, rough textures, different indigo dyeing techniques and novelty cuts while always maintaining a very limited production and wielding his experience in denim which now goes back more than 60 years.
