The ONI Denim 03500-8CBE Coverall translates one of the brand's most distinctive summer fabrics into a piece designed for transitional wear. Cut in a classic chore coat silhouette — clean, functional, and highly wearable — the coverall layers effortlessly over a shirt or knit, making it an ideal companion for shoulder seasons. Whether paired with indigo denim and a white tee or worn as part of a tonal outfit, it delivers a grounded, heritage-inspired look with a contemporary edge.

The fabric is ONI's Betacham — a specially developed double-dyed selvedge chambray, woven at low tension for a textured surface and structured hand feel. Heavier than traditional chambray at 8oz, the cloth strikes a balance between breathability and substance that suits it perfectly for outerwear duty. Intentionally woven with irregular cotton yarns, the fabric breaks away from the flat impression of standard chambray, offering a vintage look with real dimensional depth.

What makes double dyeing special is that both the warp and weft yarns are dyed — rather than the single-dye process common to most denim and standard chambray. The result is a fabric with color on both sides and, thanks to the doubled dye content, a richer, more dimensional fading character as the garment ages. "Betacham" — from the Japanese "beta-na" (ベタな), meaning plain or uniform — reflects the intentionally flat, single-tone visual of the cloth, a deliberate departure from the two-tone character of standard chambray.

Practicality remains at the core of the design. The coverall features dual chest pockets — including an internal pocket for added security — alongside spacious hip patch pockets. Construction is finished with custom ONI copper donut buttons, durable contrast stitching visible along the placket and seams, and signature branding details that reflect the brand's commitment to craftsmanship.

Fit Notes: This model fits true to size for Oni and most Japanese brands. Compared to most global American brands, a size 42 fits similarly to a Large. As always, we strongly recommend checking our size chart and comparing it with your best-fitting jacket to find the perfect size. The fabric is unsanforized but the jacket has been one-washed, so no shrinkage is expected.
