The 266-HJS is cut from one of the most technically unusual fabrics ONI has produced: a 12oz jacquard-striped denim woven with a rare drop-needle technique, which builds fine vertical stripes and evenly spaced micro-perforations directly into the structure of the cloth. Developed through long experimentation, the construction opens the weave without weakening it, so air moves through the fabric while the denim keeps its strength.

The result is one of the most wearable warm-weather denims in the ONI range. A loose, low-tension weave gives the cloth a soft hand and an easy drape, and at 12oz it feels light on the leg in a way the brand's heavier fabrics never will. The stripe is woven, not printed, so it reads as texture rather than pattern — experimental in method, quiet in effect. Fading will follow the same logic: expect subtle, nuanced wear over time rather than high-contrast patterns.

The 266 is ONI's relax straight fit and one of its most classic silhouettes: a high rise (11.6" at the front on a 30–32), generous room through the seat and thigh, and a clean, straight leg to the hem with no taper — traditional proportions carrying a modern fabric.

Construction holds to the house standard: punch-through copper rivets, concealed rivets on the back pockets, raised belt loops and pocket openings, heavy-duty bar tacks and ONI's custom copper doughnut buttons, finished with a vegetable-tanned cowhide leather patch and premium pocket bags throughout. Unsanforized and one-washed. Made in Japan.

Fit Notes: This model runs slightly large: the waist measures about 1.5–2" over the tagged size, a little more than most global American brands. We recommend taking your usual size for a relaxed fit or sizing down one if you are between sizes or prefer a closer fit. The denim is unsanforized but has been one-washed, so no further shrinkage is expected. With regular wear, the waistband will stretch approximately 1 inch, allowing the fit to settle comfortably over time. We don't recommend going down more than one size, as starting too tight may cause discomfort and alter the intended fit of the garment.
