The yarns are first yarn-dyed in indigo and then overdyed in sulfur black, producing a subtle heathered texture across the fabric that gives the surface depth, character, and tonal complexity. The fabric is knit slowly on circular machines without tension, producing an exceptionally soft, full hand feel and a relaxed, comfortable wear that improves with age. The interior has a subtle terry-like texture that adds warmth and softness against the skin.
Construction features raglan sleeves with gusseted underarms for extra mobility, paired with drop-needle ribbing at the collar, cuffs, side seams, and hem — yarn-dyed in the same indigo as the body, ensuring the rib panels themselves also develop fade and character alongside the rest of the garment. A Shoai leaf embroidery at the side seam serves as the brand's quiet signature.
