Fit Notes: Resolute jeans run very small. Compared to most global American brands, we recommend sizing up two or even three sizes from your usual size for the intended fit. The denim is unsanforized but has been one-washed, so no further shrinkage is expected. With regular wear, the waistband will stretch approximately 1 inch, allowing the fit to settle comfortably over time. The Resolute 711 is a regular straight jean inspired by the Levi's 501 "XX" from the 1950s, reinterpreted with a slightly lower rise and a semi-wide straight leg for a relaxed yet refined silhouette. The result is a balanced, timeless profile that captures the spirit of mid-century American denim while remaining wearable in any modern wardrobe.

The fabric is a 13.5oz Japanese selvedge denim woven at the renowned Shinya Mills in Okayama on vintage shuttle looms, finished with a one-wash treatment that softens the texture while preserving its deep indigo tone. Over time, the denim develops the uneven texture and high-contrast fading that defines authentic vintage-style Japanese cloth.

Construction takes place in Niimi using traditional Union Special machines, with meticulous attention to detail throughout. The jeans feature a five-button fly with custom Resolute-branded metal buttons, hidden back pocket rivets, heavy-duty bar tack reinforcement, a natural leather patch with red Resolute branding, and contrast cotton stitching in lemon yellow and bronze tones. An off-center belt loop faithfully reproduces the detail of the original 501 "XX" model. Sturdy cotton twill pocket bags reinforce the durability, while raised belt loops complete the period-correct construction.

Entirely made in Japan — from yarn dyeing through final assembly — the 711 embodies Hayashi-san's philosophy of simplicity, fit, and long-lasting quality.
