Cut from Samurai’s original “Cheese Indigo” heavy flannel, the fabric features a dense 2/2 twill weave that delivers real substance, warmth, and structure. Thick indigo cheese-dyed yarns are paired with specially reactive-dyed colored yarns to form a rich check pattern with deep tonal contrast. Unlike conventional rope-dyed indigo, the cheese dyeing method saturates the yarn core, resulting in slower, more gradual fading that retains its character while developing a subtle, lived-in patina over time.

The texture is weighty and tactile yet soft against the skin — the kind of flannel that feels closer to a light jacket than a shirt, making it ideal for layering through colder seasons.

Construction is unapologetically workwear-driven. Triple-stitched rolled seams reinforce stress points for long-term durability, while triple chain-stitched run-off side seams add both strength and authentic vintage character.
