Fit Notes: This model fits true to size for TCB: the tagged size closely matches the actual waist measurement. Compared to most global American brands, sizing is similar or slightly smaller, so you may take the same size or one size up. The cut has a high rise, a close thigh and a slim straight leg with a 7.7" leg opening. In this case the denim is sanforized, so shrinkage is minimal and the measurements will hold; the waistband will give slightly with wear. Cats Drive is a riding cut. The original — a vintage denim jacket-and-jeans set from a cowboy brand, late 1940s to 1950s — comes from the era when jeans served coal miners, farmers and every trade going, yet this one was drawn for a man in the saddle: a rise high enough to stay put, a leg close enough not to bunch against the stirrup, and nothing spare. After about three years, TCB brings the series back, and these are its jeans.

The revival revisits one element: the fabric. TCB kept the EMOT cotton blend of the first run — East Memphis, New Orleans and Texas — but not its yarn. The original was woven with a 5.7-count warp and a 6.7-count weft, engineered for the long, continuous fading lines of left-hand twill; watching that batch age, the brand wanted the streaks longer still. Both warp and weft now sit at a 6-count, and the slubs have been lengthened to build more variation into the surface, so the denim fades in elongated vertical streaks rather than short breaks.

The cut follows the riding logic on the chart: a high rise (12.4" at the front on a 32) that sits at the natural waist, a close thigh and a slim straight leg tapering to a 7.7" opening — proportions made for boots, and for a jacket that closes at the waist.
