Drawing inspiration from the original Lee of the late 1940s, this Storm Cats Drive jacket boasts a unique detail where the wool lining is distinctively separated from the denim fabric. As with all TCB pieces, meticulous attention to detail, craftsmanship, and a commitment to achieving a perfect and faithful reproduction are evident throughout.

Denim: Crafted from left-hand twill, 3 by 1 constructed, 14.6oz sanforized fabric, TCB's denim pays homage to the vintage Lee 101 from the late 1940s. The cotton, known as EMOT, is harvested in East Memphis, New Orleans, and Texas.

Wool: The wool fabric is labeled as USED WOOL, indicating its recycled nature. This choice aligns with the brand's commitment to authenticity, as it is more economical for workwear. This reproduction utilizes woolen yarns, known for their fluffy surface, reminiscent of classic American workwear. The threads, sourced from the Japanese wool industry, have been in the market for over 50 years, offering a vintage touch. The lining, typically tucked into the waistband with chainstitching applied, provides freedom of movement, especially for those with a forward-bent posture, such as cowboys.

Special Features: To ensure an accurate reproduction, TCB has even developed a metal attachment for the Union Special sewing machine to achieve the correct width of the denim piping, exemplifying their dedication to replicating vintage details faithfully.

From TCB Owner, Hajime Inoue: Recalling childhood memories of denim factories in Fukuyama City, where his passion for denim was ignited, Inoue shares a personal connection to the Lee Storm Rider. A gift received on his 20th birthday inspired him to establish his own factory and launch the TCB brand.

TCB (which stands for Two Cats Brand or Taking Care of Business) is a Japanese label founded in Kojima by Hajime Inoue in 2012. It specializes in reproductions of the classic American denim icons produced from the 1920s to the 1960s. Among his garments, we can find some of the highest-quality reproductions we have ever seen, made in his own workshop on sewing machines more than a hundred years.
